Sustainability & Waste Management

Food Waste: Pulped food scraps are discharged into the open ocean to feed the fish.
Engineering & Water Systems
Water Production: The ship produces 4,100 cubic meters of fresh water daily, while daily consumption is around 1,700 cubic meters.
Desalination Process: Seawater is converted to fresh water using high pressure and 65掳C steam.
Heat Recovery: The hot water used on board is heated by the excess thermal energy from the engines.
Operations & Maintenance
The Bridge: Located on Deck 12.
Dry Dock: The ship goes to a shipyard for major maintenance every 5 years.
Helicopters: In emergencies, helicopters do not land on the ship; they hover and use a winch/rope system.
Laundry Services
Scale: 26 staff members manage the laundry.
Daily Volume: 200,000 napkins and 10,000 items of clothing are washed daily.
Manual Labor: While much is automated, towels must still be folded by hand, as machines cannot yet handle that specific task.
