Intro
This time, I went to Fremont, California to visit and play with my cousin. The sections include how I got there and lots of main things I did.
Part 1: Arrival
First, my dad and I went to the airport, but the wait was 1.5 hours (90 minutes) long, long enough for me to play Sudoku's daily challenge. Better than the day before, where the waiting time was 4 hours (240 minutes). Finally, we boarded the plane. After arriving at SFO, we used the Airtrain to get our rental car. The car was a Jeep, rented from Avis. Finally, after a more-than-1-hour drive, we got to my cousin's house.
Part 2: Daily Routine at the House
The routine at this house was different from my house's routine. Here's a timeline:
- 7:00 - 7:30: Get up, wash face, and eat breakfast; morning routine.
- 7:35 - 8:00: Play with my cousin and go on the daily trip.
- 8:05 - ?:??: Drive to the place, usually more than 1 hour.
- ?:?? - ?:??: Play at the place or places.
- ?:?? - ?:??: Drive back home.
- ?:?? - 7:00: Play with my cousin or do needed stuff.
- 7:00 - 7:30: Dinner.
- Needed stuff: piano and homework.
- Free time: watch YouTube on laptop.
- Bedtime routine: basically morning routine, plus brushing teeth and shower.
If you saw the ?:??s, it means that the time varies from day to day.
My cousin and I climbing mountains.
Part 3: At Exploratorium Museum
This part was about the Exploratorium museum. I mainly liked the physics section. Some of the exhibits I liked were a square wheel, marble run building center, and a network simulator. I guess my cousin liked the whirlpool on the second floor. There were also geysers!
Part 4: Watching Sea Lions
After the time at the Exploratorium was watching sea lions. After the walk to Pier 36 (the museum was at Pier 17), we looked at the lions. One big one was aggressive and shoved other sea lions off! A smart one decided to sleep at the dock, far, far away from all of the fuss.
Part 5: At Monterey Bay Aquarium
At the Monterey Bay Aquarium, I looked at a lot of things. There were jellies, statues of orcas (AKA killer whales) and whales, and lots of sea animals. My favorites were the touch pools.
Part 6: At Golden Gate Bridge
On the way home from the Monterey Bay Aquarium, I passed the Golden Gate Bridge. I wanted a souvenir at the shop, but the parking lot was full, so I went by myself. There was a larger model, but it was too expensive. I saw 3 Waymos on the trip to and from the car!
Part 7: At Computer History Museum
The Computer History Museum was fun for me. First, my dad and I went into the "50 years of Apple" gallery. It had artifacts of Apple's major milestones, including the Apple I and II, the Macintosh, and the iPod. Then, we went to the main galleries. There were twenty galleries. I saw a suanpan, or a Chinese abacus, at gallery #2. There was the Cray-1 supercomputer in gallery #15. I saw many other things, including Shakey and the Cray-2 and 3 supercomputers.
Then, it was time for lunch. I ate "the binary sandwich," which was a sandwich with ham and cheese. I went to the exploration zone, where I looked at Blockly Games. It was a platform of many games including puzzle, maze, turtle, bird, movie, music, tutor to pond, and my favorite, pond.
Part 8: Leaving
Lastly, my dad and I left. After saying goodbye to my aunt, we headed to the airport. The fuel gauge had failed, so we went to a gas station. Then, at the rental car center, my dad forgot to take off the phone placer, though we did not realize it.
After taking the Airtrain to our terminal and going to our gate, we ate and watched the progress of Artemis II. We boarded our plane. Then, in San Diego, we ate at a United Club. I had lemonade for the drink. After hurrying back onto the plane, nearly one minute later, the plane took off. We had barely caught the flight!
Finally, the plane landed. This journey was over.
Conclusion
This trip was fun, too! I saw some of the best museums, the one-of-a-kind Golden Gate Bridge, and lots of other things!
